Hearing Tests
We offer diagnostic hearing tests in Torrance, CA, for patients of all ages, even children. A hearing test is the first step in determining if a hearing loss is present as well as what degree it is. During the test, we will assess your ability to hear various sounds at different frequencies. We will track your results on an audiogram.
During your hearing exam, we will perform a series of tests, including:
- Pure Tone Testing
- Bone Conduction Testing
- Speech Testing
- Tympanometry
- Tinnitus Testing (if necessary)

Balance Testing
Equilibrium can be disrupted by abnormalities in the inner ear. When your sense of balance is off, you can feel unsteady, dizzy, and experience an increase in falls. As audiologists, we can help you by diagnosing balance disorders and offering solutions tailored to you.
To determine if a vestibular disorder is present, we will perform the following tests:
- Electronystagmography
- Posturography
- Rotary Chair Test
- Electrocochleography
- Caloric Study
Sometimes vertigo and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) can occur together. If you are experiencing multiple symptoms that are disrupting your quality of life, you should visit us for a full audiological evaluation.

Earwax Removal
Earwax, medically known as cerumen, is a natural function of healthy ears. However, sometimes earwax can build-up in the ear canal, causing discomfort, clogged ears, and muffled hearing. If you have a build-up of earwax that is bothering you, contact us for an appointment. Our audiologists can safely and effectively remove earwax in-office.

Tinnitus Management
If you hear a buzzing, humming, ringing, or whistling sound in your ears, then you’re not alone. Tinnitus, or “ringing in the ears,” affects 50 million people in the U.S. Tinnitus has many causes, including hearing loss, loud noise exposure, stress, or head trauma.
While there is no cure for ringing in the ears, there are tinnitus treatments that can alleviate your symptoms. A treatment of tinnitus we recommend is hearing aids. We carry hearing aids that have a tinnitus masking feature which will play soothing sounds in your ears. Although hearing aids won’t stop ringing in the ears completely, they can help you experience relief.

Hearing Aid Fittings
Once we have the results of your audiogram and you’ve chosen a hearing aid that suits your needs, we will expertly fit those devices to you. Hearing aids should sit comfortably and securely in or around your ear. Depending on the type of device you choose, we can create custom earmolds that are fit perfectly to your ear shape. We will also program your hearing aids to your exact hearing prescription, so they are customized to you.

Hearing Aid Repairs
If something isn’t working quite right with your hearing aids, bring them into our office. Our team are experts in hearing technology and can make most repairs in-office. If required, we can send your hearing aids to the manufacturer for you for more severe issues. We offer a wide range of hearing aid repair services to keep your devices performing their best.

Hearing Aid Cleanings
To get the most out of your devices, it’s important to bring them in for regular maintenance. Earwax, dust, and other tiny debris can build-up in the small components of your hearing aids, causing them to malfunction. We provide professional cleanings for your hearing aids to keep them performing their best.

Custom Earmolds
At Beach Cities Hearing Solutions, we can create custom earmolds for hearing aids, earplugs, and in-ear monitors. Custom hearing protection is a necessity if you enjoy listening to live music, you’re a musician, you partake in motorsports, or you use power tools. Loud noise exposure can be damaging to hearing and is the leading cause of hearing loss in people of all ages.
At our audiology center, we can create custom fit hearing protection to keep your ears safe.
